Funding social innovation

Since 2004, Avise has been working on funding the development of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) and social innovation in its role as an intermediate body of the European Social Fund (ESF).

Avise launches calls for projects to fund social innovation projects on a national scale: scaling up, nationwide tool provision, national support programmes, etc.

For the period covered by the 2021-2027 ESF+ French national programme, Avise focus its efforts on:

• an ESF+ budget of €70 million managed by Avise as the ESF intermediate body for 2021-2027 European programming;
• this budget will mainly fund:
  • 120 SSE guidance and support scheme (DLA) operators;
  • calls for projects in support of national social innovation support programmes;
  • calls for projects for industry-specific impact assessment tools;
  • calls for projects to support efforts to foster social innovation in vulnerable and especially rural areas;
  • calls for projects to fund social innovation scale-ups.
